专家简介:
Takashige Omatsu received his BS and PhD degrees in applied physics from the University of Tokyo in 1983 and 1992, and he has been a professor at Chiba University since 2007. He is currently working as a director of Molecular Chirality Research Center, Chiba University. He has been investigating the generation of structured light on a nano/micron scale and pioneering nano/micro fabrications using structured light. He has already published 200+ journal papers, 250+ international conference papers, and 14 patents (including 6 US-patents), and he has performed 150+ invited presentations.
Prof. Omatsu was the founding editor-in-chief of Optics Continuum (Optica). He is currently serving as a chair of the CLEO Pacific Rim Steering Committee, and is working as the editor-in-chief of Journal of Nanophotonics (SPIE).
He was elected Optica, SPIE and JSAP fellow. Also, he was awarded Prize for Science and Technology, MEXT in 2016.
He has been appointed as a visiting professor of Fujian Normal University, China.
讲座简介:
Structured light fields possess designed spatial textures in amplitude or polarization. The most commonly used structured light field is an optical vortex with an annular spatial intensity form and an orbital angular momentum (OAM). An optical quasiparticle is emerging as a structured light field with topologically protected polarization textures. To date, these structured light fields have been widely investigated in fundamentals and applications in materials science: for instance, optical trapping and manipulation, super-resolution microscopy, and materials fabrication.
In this presentation, we review the state-of-the-art structured light fields, and we also demonstrate a new approach for materials manipulation with structured light fields.
